Our myrtle/lemon blend mehndi oil is a great additive to your henna mix for a fresh scent, though not as high in terps as our other oils. This means it doesn't help darken the color as well as our other oils. Add the quantity you wish to purchase and the cart will automatically discount.

Helpful Information

Mehndi oil refers to the essential oils that are mixed into henna paste. It's important to know what kind of oil you are putting into your henna paste and that you are using high quality safe essential oils. General scented oils use carrier oils that are NOT skin safe.

Essential oils are added to henna for a few different reasons: darker color, smoother texture and flow, and scent. To darken henna stains, an oil needs to have monoterpene alcohols (terps) as part of it's chemical make-up.

Mehndi Oil Blend:
Equal Parts Myrtle Oil and Lemon Oil

5 mL (approximately 60 drops of oil)
Glass bottle measures appx 2" x 1/2" (5.3 cm x 1.5 cm)

Henna Help Information about Mehndi Oil:

Moderate level of terpenes, or monoterpene alcohols (not nearly as high as our other oils)
Helps smooth texture of henna paste and keeps henna from drying too quickly
Adds a refreshing citrus scent to your henna mix
Due to the citrus in this oil, avoid on sensitive skin or for use in sunny conditions

General Myrtle/Lemon Oil Information:

The scent is often used as a mood elevator and anti-depressant
It's said to help repel mosquitos.
Store in cool dry place away from heat and light or in the refrigerator
