This eBook
was created while we dealing with Hurricane Irma. Though we suffered only minor
damage, others in our community were not so lucky. I decided to make these henna
hands into helping hands by making this eBook!
Fifty percent of every eBook
sale will be donated to Heart of Florida United Way. I’ve selected HFUW because
they have a special fund specifically for central Florida residents that need
help after Irma.
Central Florida’s economy is powered by tourism. A consequence of this, is that
Orlando has many people that work hourly jobs and art/performing art jobs where
they get paid by-the-job. These people were not being paid for the nearly two
weeks of preparing for and cleaning up after Irma. As henna artists, we
understand! If you don’t do the event, you don’t get paid. HFUW has a slew of
resources that help these folks.
In addition, Heart of Florida United Way did (and is still doing) some very good
work for the victims of the Pulse shooting. They do good work for Central
Florida in general!!
While they have their Irma fund up, funds will be donated to that specific fund.
When that is no longer available, proceeds will be donated to their general fund
which focuses on education, financial stability of low and medium income working
people, and basic needs.
Thanks for your support!
